graphic design.
This was one of the first big projects I did involving graphics, and one of the reasons I became interested in graphic design. The assignment was to take a topic and ready-approved photos and story to make a magazine spread. It's not perfect, but it shows where I came from and gives an indicator of growth for future work.
Once again, I created this in a design class. We were tasked with rebranding TIME Magazine to appeal to a younger audience. I had fun building this up from scratch. We started with a simple design style sheet, I saw how the yellow looked on the page, and the rest was history. Analyzing fonts and colors in terms of branding and a target audience was difficult, but I think I hit the mark.
This three-in-one assignment required us to make promotion materials for a real-world organization. We were tasked with creating a poster for the annual golf tournament, a postcard for the annual dinner and a trifold brochure on the organization as a whole. This was also somewhat of a competition. I'll update if they use any of my designs!
I made this as a Twitter header that incorporates myself and my logo (obviously). I'm still working on my logo, but the header overall turned out to be pretty cool. It looks like me and my initials versus the world.
This is the logo I created for myself (something I'll probably touch up and edit later) and how I incorporated it into a business card.
